Our contribution supports the essential work we do every day, all year long. Every gift—large or small—has a vital impact on the children we serve; all of our programs are made possible in part with your generosity.
Madame Lynn B. Welters (Emeritus), who has taught ballet for 52 years, has inspired her students at the New School of Dance & Arts, located in Washington, D.C., to collect brand new ballet clothing to send to the ProDanza Ballet Academy in Havana, Cuba. Francesca Scott, who manages the Chevy Chase Community Center, in Washington D.C., approached Madame Welters and got the most incredible results from her, her daughter Raigan and the students. These sweet girls hand-crafted 12 tote bags and filled them with ballet slippers, leotards and tights. They also wrote letters in Spanish for the children in Cuba to read, and make a beautiful video for the children at ProDanza Ballet Academy in Havana, Cuba.
